Training
Its been some time since the last blog, time is short when your running around like a headless chicken. Much of the past few months has been taken up with extra training for the office staff and engineers.
We have under taken refresher “working at heights” courses and extra aerial installation courses for one of the new members of the team, but the most exiting courses at the moment at the Fibre Optical Installation courses.
Fibre Optics will change communal television installation as colour television did to black and white. The Digital Switch-over, DSO, has been the firing gun for Fibre installations. No longer will installations be restricted by the limitations of copper co-axial cable. Now an almost unlimited amount of television can be delivered along a glass strand the thickness of a human hair.
The developments are falling over themselves to get on the market. It now a long round of trade shows, courses and demonstations to get to grips with these developments and upgrade our installation skills. What exciting times these are!
